Can I sign up after classes have started?
If you decide to join our studio after registration, you may talk to Janice or Ashley and they can check to see if there are any available spots for the class that you are wanting to join. Some classes fill up rather quickly so your safest bet is to sign up at registration.
How much are your dance classes?
Please refer to the icon Registration and it will tell you all the information that you need to know.
When do I pay my bill?
Your tuition is due the 1st of every month. There will be a late fee for late payments.
What should I wear to class?
All dancers should wear comfortable clothes such as cotton shorts, camis, sweat pants, etc. We really discourage t-shirts in Lyrical class and absolutely no jeans in any of our dance classes.
Can we have food in dance class?
Food and gum of any kind are not allowed in dance class.
What is your policy on cell phones?
Our dancers are welcome to bring their cell phones to dance; however, as with school, we do not want to see them talking or texting during class. We rarely have a problem, but you will be notified if we see cell phone abuse.
What are the studio hours?
Our studio opens @ 3:30 and we usually close at 9:00.
What are the methods that tuition can be paid?
Bobbi's School Of Dance accepts cash, check, visa, mastercard, and American Express.
How can I get on the competition teams?
Competition tryouts for our dance teams happens at the end of the summer. A panel of judges pick our dance teams, and solos, duets, and trios are decided by the instructors. No one can be added to a competition team after tryouts!
How long are your classes?
Regular classes - 45 minutes Competition classes - 30 minutes Acro - 60 minutes Solos, Duets, & Trios - 30 minutes
Do you have to participate in the Dance Recital?
Our studio has a dance recital every May and every dancer is encouraged to participate; however, it is absolutely NOT REQUIRED. The recital is such a great way to showcase a dancer's talents and we rarely have anyone chose not to do recital. It is just an awesome fun time.
How much do the dance costumes usually cost?
We love for our dancers to shine on stage, but we strive to maintain a balance between quality and expense. Our costumes range from $50-75 dollars, and on rare ocassion, they can run up to $100.00 dollars.
Can we purchase dance shoes from the studio?
Our studio is currently selling jazz, pom, tap, lyrical, and acro shoes. Janice will help fit your little dancer, and if we do not have the shoes in stock, we can order it for you. We also offer cute leotards, t-shirts with the Bobbi's Logo, sweat pants, tights, panty hose, etc. at our studio.
Can I make up a missed class?
There are opportunities to make up missed classes - please check with your dance instructor and they can let you know when you can make up your class.
What are the competition rules?
Please go to the home page, and click on the Competition Icon. It will have all the information that you need.
Can I drop a class if it's not working out?
You can drop a class, but if you drop a class mid-month, you will be charged for that month. If you are absent due to vacation, illness, etc. - you will be responsible for your tuition that month unless you have made arrangements with Ashley in advance.
Are there any adult classes for people over 18 years old?
As a matter of fact, our studio offers several classes for the "young at heart" dancer. For the 2008-2009 season, we are offering tap and jazz, each class running 45 minutes.
Does the studio close when the local schools close for bad weather?
NO, our studio will access the situation of bad weather and make a decision independent of the school systems
